Studio car photography without the studio.

This one was quite a challenge - how to shoot a stunning TVR so that it looks like it was taken in a studio, rather than parked on my friend Ken’s driveway.

 

No studio, no problem.

This is a TVR Tuscan V6. Built in 1969, it’s almost exactly 50 years old. It’s a beautiful car, but the dull overcast conditions and suburban location here don’t really do justice to those gorgeous curves. Of course, the ideal scenario would be to bring it into a studio and photograph it under a large bank of lights. But what if that’s not an option? In this video, we explore how to get the studio look without a studio. Essentially for this we light the car over multiple frames, then composite them together…
